...for they, uh - I don't know - they shall never be dissapointed.
Ah yes, Lamb: Gospel According to Biff, the book of the gods...Er, God. For those of you who were looking for a controversial religious novel and went out to by The Da Vinci Code, I fart in your general direction. This is the book you should've got.
*Ahem* Anywho, these are Levi (a.k.a Biff) and Raziel, Christ's smartass best bud and the original dumb blonde respectively. For those of you who haven't read the book, Raziel is given the task of ressurecting Biff from the dead in order to write a Gospel, as he was the only one around during most of Jesus' undocumented life, and making sure he actually does the job. This basically means Biff is trapped in a cramped hotel room being forced to write a holy biography while an angel, who doesn't so much exude an aura of the Glory of God as much as he leaks concentrated stupidity (at least if Biff's mind), switches between breathing down his neck and watching daytime television.
Now for the actual picture, I've been experimenting with different types of coloring. The type I'm using here would do great if I can only get a clean scan (not to self, get a flatbed), but that can you do *shrug*
Raziel was a pain in the ass to draw. I think I went through twenty sheets of paper to get him right. Sure, the body was easy, but the head drove me absolutely NUTS. I eventually settled with using two different characters, and tweaking them together for reference. One of them should be painfully obvious (Hercules called. He wants his tunic back). Oddly enough, the wings were actually the easiest part. The cover of a Trigun manga covered that reference.
Biff, on the other hand, was easy. Got him on the second try. Maybe it was the robe.
Why has no one commented? You are obviously an awesome artist and OBVIOUSLY this was one of the best books in the universe!
I love this.

There is simply not enough Lamb fanart out there, and this is simply fantastic. I love the expression and stances, Biff being all "WTF, why am I stuck with this dumbshit?" and Raziel being his usual oblivious self. Insta+fav, I say.

The Biff in my head looks a great deal different from this one, but the expression is perfect and leaks Biffness. You get an awesomestar.
